SOS Clinic
Arman is healthy enough to travel to the United States -- that is the conclusion of the medical staff at the SOS Clinic who have to file paperwork with the U.S. embassy in order for Arman to get a visa to the United States. Arman is 27 inches long and 15-something pounds (hey, I was taking photos -- you expect me to write down details like weight too?). He has an ear infection and will be taking antibiotics for the next five days (hope his ears are clear for the flights home). Now we wait for the results of the HIV test and then we can go to the emabassy to finalize all the paperwork on Friday.
[Note to other adoptive parents: if you have the blood drawn for the HIV test before 9 am, they can provide the results the same day and you can go to the embassy the next afternoon (instead of waiting an extra day as I did. Also, you can pay the fee by credit card or with tenge.]
